Christmas Trip to Birmingham  

Members and friends are invited to a Christmas shopping day at Birmingham’s German Market, winding up with a festive Prom Concert at Symphony Hall on Saturday 6th December

The Market is held in the concourse outside Symphony Hall, with the picturesque canalside restaurant area nearby.  Also on offer is a free family afternoon concert.

The coach from and to Marple would be limited to 49 places.  

The cost including coach fare and concert ticket would be approximately £26.

St. Martin’s Christmas Tree Festival         

The Civic Society has once again been invited to take part in the St Martin’s Christmas Tree Festival   on 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th December 2008.

We are delighted to accept the invitation and look forward to taking part in this seasonal event.

The Festival takes place in the beautiful and historic St Martin’s Church, Marple Bridge.  

The event is a lovely start to Christmas so please come along and share in the festivities.
